What makes Firehouse Embers candles different?
Firehouse Embers candles are inspired by real life in the firehouse. Each scent is designed around the moments firefighters know well, like fresh station coffee, worn leather gear, smoky firewood, and the quiet hours after a long call. These are bold, rugged scents created to reflect the firehouse experience.

Are these candles really firefighter inspired?
Yes. Firehouse Embers was founded by a retired firefighter, and every scent is influenced by real experiences from the job. The goal is to capture the atmosphere and traditions of the firehouse in scent form.

What kind of wax do you use?
Our candles are made with a clean-burning coconut apricot wax blend that holds fragrance well, and provides a smooth, even burn.

Do the candles use wooden wicks?
No. After testing different options, we chose cotton wicks because they provide a more consistent and reliable burn.

Why do you use amber jars?
The amber glass jars are durable, reusable, and help protect the fragrance and wax from light exposure. The rugged look also fits the Firehouse Embers style.

How long do the candles burn?
Burn time depends on the size of the candle and how it is used. On average, the smaller size burns approximately 40 hours and the larger size approximately 50 hours when burned properly.

How do I get the best burn from my candle?
For the best performance:

Allow the first burn to melt the wax across the entire surface of the candle.
Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting.
Limit burn sessions to about 3 to 4 hours at a time.

Following these steps helps prevent tunneling and keeps the candle burning evenly.

How long does it take to receive my order?
All Firehouse Embers candles are poured in small batches. Because of this, orders may take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to ship. We believe the extra time is worth it to ensure each candle is made carefully and properly cured.

Do you ship to fire stations?
Yes. Many customers order candles for their stations. Just make sure the shipping address is entered exactly as it should appear for delivery.

What if my candle arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us and we will make it right.
